OnePlus 5T launch News

OnePlus 5T with 6-inch bezel-less display to launch on November 5, company said:

After reports last week that OnePlus is rumoured to come out with a follow up to the OnePlus 5, called the OnePlus 5T, before the end of the year, the company has now confirmed the same. As per the press invites being sent out, the company is planning to hold an event on November 5 where it will likely launch the OnePlus 5T.
Apart from confirming the date of unveiling, the media invite also features an outline of a phone with the letter T inside. This pretty much confirms the existence of the OnePlus 5T. Moreover, the outline of the phone also reveals narrow bezels on the sides and the top, which confirms earlier reports that the smartphone will sport an edge-to-edge display similar to the Samsung Galaxy S8.
To recall, the OnePlus 5 was launched a little over three months ago in June, and featured a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920) display with a traditional 16:9 aspect ratio. The upcoming OnePlus 5T is expected to feature slimmer bezels to compete with a slew of premium smartphones this that have features near bezel-less displays such as the Galaxy S8, LG G6, Mi Mix 2, and iPhone X to name a few. From what we know so far, the OnePlus 5T is tipped to sport a larger 6-inch display like the LG V30 with 1080x2160 pixel resolution.

OnePlus 5T specs and possible India price:

The OnePlus 5 was launched in India starting at Rs 32,999, and one can expect the OnePlus 5T to be priced a few notches higher when it makes it to the country. To recall, the OnePlus 3T was brought to India for Rs 29,999, while the OnePlus 3 was launched at Rs 27,999.

As far as the specs are concerned, it is expected that the OnePlus 5T will sport the same Snapdragon 835 chipset as the OnePlus 5, which is the best Qualcomm chipset for Android smartphones in the market right now.

You can also expect the OnePlus 5T to be offered with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage similar to the OnePlus 5. An 8GB and 128GB configuration can also be expected.

From past rumours, the camera configuration for the OnePlus 5T is also expected to be similar to the OnePlus 5 with a dual rear camera setup that comprises of a 20-megapixel sensor and a 16-megapixel sensor. The front will likely see a 16-megapixel camera.

In terms of design, the OnePlus 5T will likely sport a metal body. However, as it is likely that the smartphone will feature an edge-to-edge display, we might see the fingerprint sensor to move to the back of the handset, and it's still unclear where OnePlus will place the sensor.

There could also be a possibility of a facial recognition feature, although there has been no word on that as of now.
